Roland RX Engraver

RX-50

The Roland RX Engraver was originally introduced to allow for a rotary engraving process, primarily for medallions. The target market was for KIOSKs and specialty stores such as gun shops. It wasn't a popular model due to the time and intricacies involved in getting a good 3D relief.

The software package bundled with the RX-50 was "Medal Editor". An additional package which was introduced to further automate the proces was "Face Designer". Face Designer also worked on EGX engravers.

The Roland RX machine was end-of-lifed in 2006.
